Bamboo Lobster is a species of lobster that lives in tropical reefs. Other names include a multi-colored rock lobster, bamboo lobster, a blue lobster and blue lobster. P. lichen — is one of the three most common varieties of lobster in Sri Lanka. It grows to a length of up to 40 centimeters, but usually not more than 30 cm. It does not have claws, but there are 2 two spines above the eyes, two pairs of large antennae, like all lobsters. The first pair of antennae with a double end, the second rigid and prickly, usually white. The shell is white, pink and black, with horizontal stripes and a grid of strips. Belly is green with transverse black and white stripes. The legs are dark brown with white stripes, and the tail is blue-green.
